The canopy on XS420 was again opened on 14 January 2014 using hydraulic power. The video shows the small portable rig that was used to provide the lift.
Recently a self contained hydraulic pump was obtained and it is planned that this will be fitted in the avionics bay behind the cockpit. This will allow easy access to the cockpit so that restoration can begin. |
